Record set in first race! May 29, 1999 - On it's first run, Pegasus the ultralight Turbo sled sailed by Philippe Kahn and a crew of fifteen set a new record for the San Francisco - Monterey "Spinnaker Run". Using the event to tune up for the July 3rd Transpac, Pegasus broke SC52 "Rosebud"s record set last year.

RETURN TRIP July , 1999 - Pegasus returns to Santa Cruz. Joseph drives while crew rests. It should take two weeks for the return trip from Hawaii. |
